You will arrive in Nairobi and have a night in a hotel to relax before your safari begins. In the morning head up to Samburu with lunch at the Trout Tree restaurant on the way, try the whole grilled trout with garlic butter and rolled banana pancake for dessert. Once you arrive in Samburu you’ll have an afternoon game drive to your accommodation and have some time to relax.
The next day you will head out on a game drive in the morning and afternoon. Look out for the rare species in the park including the long-necked gerenuk, reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra, in the evening head back to the lodge to rest.
In the morning drive south to the Aberdare Mountain Ranges and have lunch at the Outspan Hotel and then onto the treetops tree lodge to stay the night. In the morning have breakfast at the treetops and then head to Thomson’s Falls, a breathtaking waterfall on the Uaso Nyiro River. After looking around head onto Nakuru National Park for lunch and a game drive. The park is a great place with over 400 species of bird.
You can also see big game here such as lion, leopard, Rothschild giraffe and you may even catch a glimpse of white rhinos. After your game drive head on to Lake Naivasha for the night which has monkeys, giraffes and hippos inhabiting its 150 acre grasslands.
After breakfast drive to the stunning Maasai Mara, home of the big cats. As well as big cats you can see giraffe, elephant, hyena, impala, wildebeest and buffalo. Have lunch at the Maasai Mara and take in the stunning views of the park and head out on an afternoon game drive.
